Lujza Fráknói (d. c. 1843), the young consumptive woman Madách deeply loved in his early twenties; she died before they could marry, and several of his most moving lyrics—'To Lujza,' 'To My Sick Beloved,' 'The Spell of Frivolity'—are addressed to her.
