Lazarus (parable of the rich man)

Lazarus

also: Lázár

Lazarus is the name of the poor beggar in Jesus's parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19–31), who lies at the rich man's gate covered in sores; Gerő invokes him to insult fair-weather friends who are rich in counsel but useless in need.
