The Pesti Hírlap (Pest Gazette, 1841–1849) was the leading liberal reform newspaper of the Hungarian Reform Era, founded under István Széchenyi's influence and from 1841 edited by Lajos Kossuth; it became the principal platform for the moderate liberal program of constitutional reform.
