Elizabeth of Poland (c. 1305–1380), Queen of Hungary as wife of Charles I; mother of Endre and of future King Louis the Great. She visited Naples in 1343 and fought for her son's coronation; her grief drives the historical sequel Madách alludes to at the drama's end.
