Constantine

Constantine I (c. 272–337 AD), the first Roman emperor to embrace Christianity and move the capital to Constantinople. In scene 13, Lucifer recalls that Adam struggled alongside Constantine — a retrospective reference to the Byzantine incarnation in scene 7.
