Ahriman (Angra Mainyu) is the destructive spirit and principle of evil in Zoroastrian cosmology, the adversary of Ahura Mazda (Ormuzd); Lorán uses the Zoroastrian dualism as a metaphor for the 'common world' that destroys poetic inspiration.
