Mihály Dobozi
Dobozi
also: Dobozi Mihály
Mihály Dobozi was a legendary Hungarian nobleman who, fleeing the Ottoman advance after the Battle of Mohács (1526), killed his wife rather than let her fall into enemy captivity and then rode to his own death; his name became a byword for patriotic self-sacrifice, absurdly invoked by Duló Zebedeus during a comic street-chase.
